What size running spikes should I get?
I’m going to get my track spikes today. I am a distance runner. what size spike should I get? like 1/4, 1/2, 3/8?
anything over 1 mile you don’t need spikes. most tracks are 1/2 of rubber so use 1/2 in the front of the shoe and 1/4 in the farther back slots

For uneven surfaces, you’ll need to apply more glue to ensure a firm seal. Be sure to press the base of the spike level with the edge of the surface. And remember to allow some overhang of the spike pins.
Birds are clever and will find a way to sneak around the spikes. For really wide ledges, use three or more rows of spikes and make sure to limit the gap between rows to two inches or less. Pest birds will find the cavity behind a spike strip and sneak in, so be aware of this and install the spikes carefully.

What size track spikes/shoes?
The adidas cosmos I had last year are size 8.5 and I’ve been using them for the whole entire season thus far. Since then my feet have been growing slightly bigger and I currently wear size 9 shoes. Whenever I run with my cosmos I get a feeling that the heel is slipping off and not only that, but don’t think I can run at my full potential with such small shoes.
I’m planning on getting new spikes real soon, so how big should I get mines? size 9.5? 10?
I’m in short-distance by the way and I run 200′s and 400′s.
And should I get christmas tree spikes along with that, cause I heard they help alot.
9.5 unless the spike runs small. you don’t want them to be too big or else they will move away from your heel. this is almost as bad as small shoes. you want a comfortable snug fit.
Christmas spikes (compression spikes) are good for the 200 in a rubber track. for the 400, i would recommend 3/16 needle.
if you run in a dirt track use pyramid.
